The bamboo bridge design for 24 meter span from the system developed by Jörg Stamm in Colombia around the end of 90's. It consist of members of 6 meters in length and 12 centimeters in diameter.

These are bamboo poles we bought from Kinuskusan, two-and-a-half hour south of Davao City. It's Dendrocalamus Latiflorus, I think, the locals call it Butong. Poles are relatively straight or smoothly curved, that was the main concern why I decided to get this poles despite that the locals favor tungkan (Bambusa blumeana) for construction.
